The best book I've ever read (non-fiction). If you want to read a mind blowing account of the gold/jewel/historic artifacts plundered by the Japanese from 1900-1940's and then the beyond mind blowing recovery by the CIA/Army/Phillipines government this is the book for you.

    From the inside jacket:

You can order a 2 CD set from the website with 100's of documnets and photos.
If your even a little interested in history buy it.

+1 for Brotherhood of the Rose. Read all three but this is the best. Fiction
A Simple Plan. Picked it up and couldn't put it down until 3am. Fiction

I too was going to write up a short review about this book...
This is an excellent book about the Japanese plunder of the treasures of Asia. The Japanese imperial family stole a massive fortune, the description of which is mind boggling! This is an excellent read. I have often wondered why the Japanese were let off so easily after the war. This book partially explains why.
