Hello there, Am from Basey, Samar but studied college in Tacloban. I suggest you stay at Leyte Park Hotel.

but if you can stay longer, you might want to visit also Cebu City to join the Sinulog Festival. We celebrate this Festival usually every 3rd Sunday of January. :)
Just incase you'll decide to extend your vacation and want to join our Sinulog Festival, i'll be glad to be your tour guide.;f :)

Another nice place to stay is Mc Arthur Park and Beach Resort in Palo, Leyte. It is situated along the beach and run by the Department of Tourism by the Philippine government. Very reasonable prices and quite near the city too. :)
