Last week at Sam's, I picked up 6 cornish hens for 12 bucks and change. They're almost 5 bucks apiece in the super market.

Sunkist Almonds. Around $9.00 for 5 lbs.
Macadamia nuts. Around $10.00 for 3 lbs.

Check the prices at the meat department. The beef & pork is good quality but the prices aren't always that great. You have to look for bargains.

    Bottled water. I like Arrowhead @ $5.00 a case (32 bottles not 24)

Coffee. Around $5.00 for 3 lbs.

I don't like Costco's record on political & "charitable" contributions nor their secular position regarding political correctness. They support a lot of anti-gun organizations & political positions I disagree with.

While not perfect, Sam's Club (Wal-Mart) takes more of a "family-values" approach to things. That's where I'll spend my money even if I pay a bit more.

Besides, I'm a water snob.;K Arrowhead is spring water.
If I had to guess, the Costco stuff is probably store brand, filtered city water.;P

Get some big sweet onions and batter fixings. You can make blooming onions. A little horseradish in bbq sauce makes a good dip for that.

They usually have good prices on tri-tip too.

Leg of lamb (boned) for about $10.

It costs about $30 for this item at my regular grocery store.

Sam's salmon is also very cheap, but you have to buy a huge quantity. If you are having guests, it could be a big saver.

Olive oil. I save a ton of $$ on this item. Buy a big jug for cheap and use it to refill a smaller bottle.

A jar of those huge hot and spicy pickles, and a box of microwave popcorn. Eat the pickles with the popcorn (and beer, of course), and when the pickles are gone, fill the jar back up with hard boiled eggs...yum-yum;t ;Y

I'm a bit late with this:

roasting chickens- two for $5.88- I put 'em in the rottisserie
duct tape- don't ask why, of course you need it
boneless pork loin- marinate it and toss it on the grill over low heat
    some extra beer
margarita mix in a bucket, just add tequila
5 lb block of mozzarella for the Italian food you make to go with the BBQ
last week they had great mangos
a 10 pack of film for the party

    Enjoy the fiesta!

One of the best things there, I can hardly eat a steak that hasn't been marinated in this stuff. ^7
