I'm going to have my '09 Cad CTS-V rims in powder coat, what would look best:
Powder coat in bright silver as they are now/
Or powder coat in satin black?
The silver is a bear to keep clean & need a wipe down ever after a trip to the store
Satin black will not show the brake dust & dirt as much but maybe too much black out?
    What say ye all?

satin black is way over done, and soooooo 2014. So if that's your only 2 choices, sliver

why not color match the car with a polished edge?

How about a high gloss dark grey/graphite color, it hides brake dust very well.

    Definitely NOT satin black IMHO.

My brother has a highly modified 2009 V. He had his rims refinished in a black chrome. Looks really nice.

OK, tehan & elsolo, I had thought about that, but I'm limited as to what I can spend & time constraints. There's a powder coat shop about 25 miles away from me that has a special: In by 8:00, out the same day by 5:30, $500, I believe. I will have to go take a close look at how good & smooth his color comes out. Many thanks for the suggestions.

    How about a smoke silver?

I've found that Rejex http://www.rejex.com/ works great for keeping brake dust down. Might also try harder pads.

These only come in 18" in silver, if you paint them black you can go up to 22"
