Ever since my wife and I married 14 years ago, we have lived in a subdivision on about a 3/4 acre lot and I have always wanted to have more land. Finding the right piece of property has proven difficult. All the land we looked at is either too expensive, too far out, etc.

Well, we finally closed on a 23 acre property that is ideal for us. It is a combination of woods and pasture and a 1 1/2 acre pond. It has a newer cypress 2 story barn, a well and it also has a 10 year old 2200 sq ft mobile home on it. Mobile home is very nice. It is located about 1 1/2 miles from town but you feel like your in the country. Very quite. It has all the conveniences we need, couty water, cable, high speed internet, etc. I think we got a good deal on this property also. Bought it t it for less than half of what they were trying to sell it for a year ago.

Our plans are to sell our home (I know, easier said than done), sell or move the mobile home off the property and build a new house. May live in the mobile home while we are building. I am also going to build a shop at the same time. Currently have to use the garage and put all tools up at the end of the day.

I hope to do a lot of things on this new property that I couldn't do where we currently live. I'm going to have a garden, have some chickens, maybe try having some honey bees, plant some peach trees, blueberry trees, pecan trees, have a place to fish, paddle my canoe, have some larger pets, ( want a german shepard ), have a place to shoot my guns, get a tractor, etc.

    Cant wait to get started.:embarassed:

Congratulations! May you live a long and happy life on your land and know each and every day that I am envious.

That was a misquote. I meant to say "meeeeeee toooooo"

In Drew's AO that costs $30,000,000 and $12,000,000 a year for garbage and sewer.
