gloves in competion

    i was watching a re-run of swat colin something and samuel jackson.
    they are wearing gloves ..looks cool and am just curious if gloves are allowed in IPSC/PPSA match , if it is.. has anyone tried one?

    Yes, gloves are allowed but very few shooters use them as they're really unnecessary and actually detract from your performance as you don't get the tactile feedback of bare hands which I think is necessary in order to be "one with the gun".
    Of the top shooters in Standard, the only one that I've seen using them is Col. Benjie Belarmino.
    But you're right, they do look cool:)

    I think top production shooters PPTS & homogenizer also wears one on the weakhand. Maybe they can also give some feedback. ;)

    specifically with the glock, i find it very very helpful (weak hand, GOLF gloves) but if you put skateboard tape on the glock, gloves are not needed.

    probably because of the harsh recoil of his major loads:)

    hey production shooters use it on their 9mm guns, maybe 40 cal on a steel gun has the same recoil impulse??h;e

    so its allowed then, i asked coz i havent seen any one wearing gloves in comp. and no such rule (IPSC pistol) prohibits wearing one...

    ive tried to wear(bike gloves) whenever i'am at the range kaso sumasabit sa hammer ..any suggestions on which type to use
