GlockTechs MIC holster

This is a quick write up for the fence riders that might be out there.

Being skinny as I am, I am always looking for deep concealment options to hide my G19. I have a OWB holster, a Crossbreed ST and now the MIC.

For the money, I decided to try the MIC really thinking it will not work for me as I am again, skinny.
Well I was wrong, as soon as the little holster arrived I put it on the G19 and stuffed it into my pants.

Well I am glad to say that it does work as advertised, the gun stayed put thru a variety of activities. Getting into and out of vehicles, wrestling my little kids, running and various other everyday activities.

The only thing that I found is when sitting and sometimes standing, depending on placement, the end of the holster at the business end will dig into my thigh. Just a quick readjust solve that for me.

One thing I would suggest to new users (including myself) is to give it a good test run before actually carrying loaded, there are ways to draw where the MIC snaps off fine, but different angles and forces will determine how hard or easy it comes off. Good product for the money and I believe this will be in the rotation for summer carry or carry where deep concealment is needed.

Hope this helps. BTW carry was done in jeans, a T-shirt and a sweatshirt as it is getting wicked cold here in NH.

Looked on their website and could not find the MIC. Can you post a link or some pix for me? I'd like to get a better IWB for my XD9SC.

Glock Tech does not make a MIC for the XD. They only make them for Glocks. I believe One Source Tactical makes a holster similar to the MIC for an XD and the S&W MP. Google One Source Tactical and you should find it.
I have been using a MIC to carry my G19, G17 and a G30 and it has worked great for all three guns. If I carry IWB it is with a MIC now, as I have shelved my other IWB holsters. The MIC is more comfortable and faster for me. I am 6'3" and weigh 210lbs. with not much gut and it carrys very comfortably for me at about 11:30 on my belt as I am left handed. I use a Wilderness instructors 1.5" belt with the polymer stiffener insert to carry with.
I have been real happy with this setup and have been using it for about 3 months now.
Do you have any pics of you wearing it to show how well it conceals?

No I don't have any pics, but will try and get some posted later. Go to www.glocktech.com and they have a pretty good video of how the MIC looks and works which is done by the maker of the MIC.
I watched the videos on the MIC. It seems like a good concept, but uncomfortanle to carry a gun all day in that position.

I dont find it uncomfortable, a little "odd" because the pistol is not "in" something, but I will get used to it.

I don't find it uncomfortable with my body type. Some others with more gut hanging over the belt may find it uncomfortable but for me it feels good and works well. I have used it while driving for 4 hours, standing, bending, jumping, running, just about anything I could think of movement wise and the gun stayed in one spot and was very comfortable. In my opinion it is more comfortable than a IWB kydex holster worn behind the hip on the strong side.

Well I have a bit of gut overhang so I would find it uncomfortable.:whistling:

Do you use the clip with it? Or does it do ok with just the mic?

I do not use the clip with mine. I am just using the MIC and a wilderness instructors belt and it stays in one position with all day movement. I think, as with any other holster, you need a good belt and it has to be tight enough to hold the gun in position when you tuck it into the waistband.

A BIT of a gut overhang may be OK. I think if you have a lot of overhang the MIC may not be as comfortable and the overhang may want to push on the gun and push it out of your pants.
If you have the "dick do", the MIC probably won't be comfortable for you!!!!:whistling:
It's a comical excuse for a holster. For extra safety in a nightstand or glovebox, it's a good product.
Do you have any pics of you wearing it to show how well it conceals?
Yes I do, but it's only a crappy cell phone pic.

Here is me wearing a G19 with the MIC and my shirt tucked in.

For the safe, they are fine. For replacing a holster, they're a big bag full of nope. Like a professional escort, they can get the job done, but there are better ways to handle your business.

If your plan is to carry to the kitchen, choose Mexican.
If your plan is to carry to the mailbox, use a MIC.
If your plan is to carry anywhere else, get a proper holster. Don't you deserve proper equipment? Dont you really deserve gear and methods better suited to real guns than to airsoft?

Another opinion from someone that's never tried one!!! Must be a Democrat.

Do you have to try shooting yourself in the foot to know it's gonna hurt?

hikerpaddler nailed it. The MIC is a great toy, but it really shouldn't be considered by anyone serious about CCW.

Dude, if you had any clue as to how the MIC functions, you wouldn't have posted what you just did!!! You must have the "dick do"!! Otherwise you wouldn't be so negative.

Dude..........Ill-bred and ignorant, but ostentatious man from the city
