Effective immediately, Glock will ship all Gen4 G17's with a 11# recoil spring. After sending in your warranty registration card, Glock will ship you a replacement 13# spring in 4 months, 15# in 8 months and finally a 17# spring in 12 months. This should eliminate FTF and FTE problems experienced by novice macho males.

By the was, Happy April 1st.

Seriously, folks, Glocktalkers have been adding heavier recoil springs to their 9mm Glocks for years. Students of Glock history know that the original G17 was designed for Nato spec ammo and the Austrian Army. Original G17's were fitted with an 18# spring. Once Glock started exporting G17's, a 17# spring was introduced as standard to accommodate for less than Nato spec ammo.

If you think that's cruel, imagine how I felt at the beginning of March, WITHOUT an April Fools joke, when Glock told me I would get my G17 back in a few months! Sayanara, G4! Someone else owns mine now. You better hope Glock spoke the truth when they told you that you would have your gun back soon. :tequila:
