She's 11 and shot a handgun for the first time this weekend. Shot my Glock 22 @ 10yds on the same target after shooting a Browning 22 Takedown from 50yds. She had a blast!
She also shot a Taurus 85CH and my Springfield 1911 Govt Model. She said she preferred the 1911 due to less recoil than the Glock. Did not like the 12# trigger on the Taurus. We had a really good time and can't wait to do it again this weekend.

WHAT IS THE MATTER WITH YOU PEOPLE? THIS IS WHAT CAUSES SCHOOL SHOOTINGS. I'm just kidding. This is great. Hopefully I will not have kids for at least five years, but when I do they will grow up around guns. I started shooting before 10 and look at me now.

Took my 10 year old daughter with the wife and I yesterday. She shot my G27 a few times, but she wanted to get on her 10/22 so she could sling lead. She's my shooting buddy when I cant get anyone else to go out with me. I bought the 10/22 for me, but she shoots it more than I do (I have a single shot Springfield .22LR that I use more often than not) so I gave it to her for a Christmas present. Now she wants a pink stock for it... I dunno guys... I think that when I shoot it I will have to get really in touch with my masculinity... LOL

My daughter started out with a cricket at 8.

Video of her Dec 09 shortly after her 13th birthday. Star gave her some issues. Need to get some new videos.

If the preliminary results hold up she got top Junior at the Orlando GSSF match last month and if I am reading it correctly top Female Junior for the 2009-10 GSSF Season. She also won $75 so I guess she is a professional shooter now. :) Should look good on the College Applications pending the state.....

My twin daughters started with a Glock 17 9mm. I made them share that first model 17.

Now they have a 23 and a 33 of their own.

    That was yesterday 1986.

Now they are ladies of 38 years old.

Have husbands and each a daughter and sons.

    A Glock family stays together!

That is awesome! I have a little girl as well, daddys shadow, she is 6. Soon I will have her out there, it seems like she was born yesterday and she will be 7 in four months, man time flies.
