I have been considering a weapon mounted light for my glock 23. I have narrowed the field to Surefire's X200 and Glock's GTL21.
    GTL 21 X200
    Light/laser light
    173.00 250.00+
    bulky small
    unknown durability proven profomance
finger activated pressure switch or finger

I know alot of guys use the surefires but has any one heard any negatives about the glock lights? For the price I am deffintley leaning towards the glock. Size is not as important since it is a night stand gun. Any comments or info would greatly be appreciated! Thanks!

I am trying to find out about the Glock laser light combo also. Good post. I am wondering how accurate and bright the laser is.

Can't say for sure, but I have read on this forum, instances of muzzle flash etching the Glock Light's lens, and dirt finding its way behind the lens.

If the latter's true, it's clearly not water proofed, and not up to the rigors of active duty.

As a night stand weapon light, it probably serves well enough.

I'd tape over the end for practice, though. ;)

I found the Glock GTL 21 at cheaperthandirt.com for $173.00 and just the light for 89.00. My local gun shop/range wanted 299.99 for GTL 21. Great indoor range but a bit pricey, they also wanted $606 for a NIB G23.
