Glock Tru-Dot Night Sight for 19/17 work with 17L?

Will the front blade in this sight set work on the 17L?

I'm worried that the front blade is not tall enough for the 17L and I won't have enough leeway to crank the rear sight down enough...

Is there a taller meprolight front blade I can get?

The OEM sight is .165" tall. I replaced the front sight on my new 17L with an Ameriglo green fiber optic sight that is .165" tall and .130" wide. Works well with the OEM adjustable rear sight
I am finding that I can't see my front sight against dark targets.

I have Dawson on my G34, plain black notch in rear and fiber optic orange in front and that's a little better but I leaning towards three dot sights.
I have tru dot sights on my G32 green front and yellow/orange out back NEVER had a problem sighting up.
I'm having the same kind of problem in low light. My G19 is stock all the way. I might end up going to night sights too.

This is the sight that I was referencing. The height is fine for the 17L.

There is another front sight that is highly visible - GL-212-GR-C. It is .165" high and .140" wide. It has a green tritium lamp surrounded by a lime green ring. It also works very well with a standard height rear sight
