Glock trigger not resetting only resets if I have finger on the trigger I’m talking like if I just rack the slide trigger stays back.

Some trouble-shooting questions to start with:

Did you do a detailed strip of the pistol recently?

Did you switch out any OEM parts?

Is the connector seated correctly? Base of the connector should be flush with the trigger mechanism housing.

Connector at the top should stick out a little bit, away from the trigger mechanism housing.

Is the trigger spring installed correctly ?

    Also, check striker/cruciform/sear engagement......

EDIT: what Glock pistol and generation? ex. G19 gen3

    Trigger spring may be broken.
Must be installed 'S' facing right side of TMH.
    Properly lubed?

Do what ActanonVerba70 suggested, and let us know

True...Exactly! A broken coil Trigger Spring causes exactly what the OP describes.

A broken Trigger Spring actually makes reset MORE certain and positive AFTER THE FIRING PIN LUG HAS ENGAGED THE TRIGGER BAR CRUCIFORM. The Glock Trigger Spring pulls the Trigger away from reset and acts as a Trigger ANTI-Reset Spring, but it is needed to raise the Trigger Bar Cruciform and won't do that if broken. The only Trigger Reset Spring in a Glock is the Firing Pin Spring.

BUT...if the Trigger Spring is broken, holding the Trigger depressed forces the rear of the dog-leg in the Trigger Bar up against the frame polymer which raises the rear of the cruciform and puts it in the path to engage to Firing Pin Lug. Then the Firing Pin Spring resets the Trigger.

It's this deliberate design that raises the Trigger Bar cruciform that keeps a Glock from being disabled by a broken coil Trigger Spring. All that's required to reset the Trigger if the Trigger Spring is broken is to cycle the Slide with the Trigger held pulled. However, subsequent shots will require more than a lbf greater pull since the Trigger Spring is no longer pulling the Trigger rearward.

OP, have you tried what was suggested above? We want to make sure that the forum gives a fellow Glock user the attention to resolve the problem.

Well, then, it's not a Glock problem, is it?

Problem fixed sorry for the late response I just detailed stripped didn’t see anything out of place, but the problem is gone probably going to just replace the trigger spring and bar, replacing the bar cause the finish seems to be peeling I don’t know why. Thanks guys and btw where did the polymer 80 comment come from it’s a Glock 22 Gen 4.
