Just did a trigger job on my G17 and I ran out of Flitz which I regularly use so I ran to Pep Boys and tried some Mothers Billet Metal Polish and WOW big difference. I am now a fan of Mothers. Parts look like a mirror:supergrin:

OK, but, Flitz can be used to clean a dirty bore. Could you - or, would you - try the same thing with Mothers Billet?

Another question I have is, 'Why' the need to wear Nitrile gloves when you use this stuff?

The label directions, also, don't say anything about its specific applicability or use on steel - especially plated or nitro-carburized steel.

Not a fan, yet. Maybe, someday, I will be - Maybe.
I didn't wear gloves and I'm still alive(For now)I have read a lot of people using Mothers Billet on stainless 1911 slides, revolvers and trigger jobs. Check out this GP100 polished with Mothers Billet from the High Road gun forum.

SHOOOT! i just bought a big ***** tube of flitz. :steamed: Definitely will give Mothers billet polish a try. If there a way you can post the UPC code so i can get the exact same as you:supergrin: Thanks in advance.
Any Pep Boys or auto store carries Mothers. The Mag wheel or the Billet works great. I just prefer the Billet because it is zero abrasive made for fine finishes and make it very hard to round off a edge.
