About time. "Perfection" was starting to slip.

That perfection was slipping? I've known that for a long time. But really, that back strap is old news? This was the first I'd heard of it. Well thanks for setting me straight. Didn't realize I was two days late on the news.
My cousins brother's uncle's son has also confirmed this with his brother in law's father's wife's daughter's husband who knows a guy that knows a guy that works for glock as a traveling door to door salesman.
A solution to a no existing problem, more parts to add and to lost in the field.

Guess what, I hate Glocks right now. If they start putting adjustable backstraps on them, I might just buy one.

Realistically, when is the average person going to lose a backstrap "in the field?" More importantly, when is the average person even going to be "in the field?"

Not for me thanks.
Other manufacturers of pistols which see a lot of use as dedicated service weapons have realized the importance of disparate impact issues when it comes to providing a weapon design which can accommodate itself to folks with different size hands.

It's high time Glock realized the same thing, I'd think.

People like to justifiably laud Glock for their innovation and knocking some other established designs off their complacency ponies more than a couple of decades ago.

Perhaps it might be wise to consider that time doesn't stand still and there's likely going to continue to be room for further innovation and refinement. ;)

Time marches on and new ideas are discovered to be beneficial.

I couldn't disagree more.

maybe it fits YOUR hand just fine, but the major(and only) detractor to me and Glock is there gawd awful over large grip.

I KNOW many others that share the same experience I do

as long as the new weapon config is just as reliable, they'll sell lots more pistols

It was foolish (or arrogant) of Glock to NOT address the major reason many won't own a Glock

adding a new line just makes $en$e

oh yes......... You hear about folks loosing their backstraps all the time!
It's a REAL problem!!!

Do you lose a lot of magazines?

If you can manage to lose a rollpin that is a) hard to remove and b) never needs to be removed in the field, and the grip that also goes along with it, I'd say you're nearly as likely to lose your entire weapon.

I cannot imagine how those 2 extra parts are ever, ever going to be lost (nor problematic) if i should ever enter a field... and I'd point to the fact that I've seen very few people carrying 1911s around without grips because they lost them on the way to McDonald's.
