Glock Store legit?

I was in the market for a KKM barrel for my G17 gen5 and KKM showed a four week lead time. Glock Store showed them in stock. I place the order and nothing. A week goes by and I email them for an update. I email them on the 23rd, inquiring about my order and get this reply. “I do not have an ETA, as soon as KKM sends us the product we will ship the order.”

My question is, is this normal for them to not notify customers they don’t actually have a product? I usually by from Brownells, Midway, Primary Arms or direct from the manufacture so I freely admit I have little experience with them.

Anybody have suggestions for good Glockcentric outlets to buy cool Glock parts from?

~Thanks for letting me vent.

My experience is YES and it has been this way for over 2 years. Worse still, they used to take payment before telling you the parts were not available. Not very honest if you ask me.

That sucks. I’m thinking about canceling my order but don’t know if I can get one any faster anywhere else. That said, if I’d known they didn’t actually stock them , I would have purchased directly from KKM.
It's come full circle now. These "stores" just order their stuff from other vendors and have it shipped to you. Time to cut out the middleman and go direct. I've been doing that more and more lately.

Agreed. If you have an issue with a product, it’s one less direction to point a finger. Hopefully that results in better service.

I ordered this Double Diamond Glock 22 .40 Cal barrel from the Glock Store...
I had approximately 2000 down the bore and this happened... See pics...
Since I had the barrel for 2 years they did give me a 40% discount on a new barrel...
As you all can see the part on the bottom of the barrel just sheered off....
The G22 was not hurt at all and I was using Winchester White box...
No Kaboom just broken barrel...
When I took the gun apart at the range the empty shell case was still in the barrel and no damage to the shell case...
I dont know if this has ever happened to anyone else but it has to be a defect in the metal...
I think the Glock Store should have given me a new barrel no charge but I did have it for 2 years....
At this point Im good to go with the new barrel...
but it does make me wonder about the quality of their products....

Yeah, that’s clearly a defect. Lucky it wasn’t a catastrophic failure with an injury! Glad you’re okay!

I ordered some stuff a while ago (years) and I never got a confirmation or anything after they charged my card. Weeks went by and nothing.
I eventually asked for a refund, received it a week later and never bothered with them again.

I used to order from them often. It’s a shame to hear that they are having issues. I know lots of businesses have had supply issues due to the virus or they use it as an excuse. If anything they should let you know up front that there are issues.
Not because I don’t believe you, but because I was curious I went on the GS site and went through the process of selecting a KKM barrel for a Gen 5 G17. At no point in the selection, adding to cart or going through the order process was there a flag or any info saying the order might be delayed.

Question: you said you emailed them. Did you try calling them? I have found that calling often gets better results.

Why, so you can hear Lenny Mcgill's and his BS over and over before a live rep gets on the other end. I waited about 55 minutes one time before I got to talk to a live person, never again.

Yeah, 55 minutes would probably drive me nuts.

They did respond to the email. They told me when KKM ships, they will ship. They didn’t address the fact it was never an in stock item or offer tocontact KKM for a estimated ship date. 😒
