In the stock class Amt. Civ., may a person use the glock 3.5 connector and still be stock?? The part is sold by glock.

    Thanks, Perry

Thanks for the info. Do you find in your experience that the 3.5 connector is an advantge?? And is it worth the purchase price.

I'm gonna differ from Fireglock on this one.

I've got a G17 with a 3.5 lb connecter, CGR Bomars and polished innards and I don't shoot as well with it as I do with a bone stock G26 with cheap Glock plastic sights.

Now I can run the plate rack quicker with the G17, almost a full second faster than the G26, but for some reason I can't hit the longer targets as well with the G17 and the mushier trigger, but I'm working on it.

My advice, try both connecters and see which one works best for you.

I should also tell you that Fireglock has won a lot more guns than me!

Excuse me Glenn....Glenn is also a Master Shooter...a Mentor...and when I'm posing in a picture with the two and Pharoah ( take a look at the Lexington pictures last year) you will find my 6'4" 250# frame to be considered puny compared to these men among men;f

    You're welcome.

And yes, the 3.5 lb connecter makes the trigger feel mushier, at least to me. I prefer the feel of the 5lb connecter.

I put a 3.5 in my G17 and Bormar sight from CGR. Went from 27th place to 9th at the last GSSF event.
The trigger helped but the sights REALLY helped. Some people can do ok with the stock sights but I am not one of them.
Try both the 3.5 and 5 and see which one you like the best.
I took the time and really sighted the gun in at 25 yards.
My pratice sessions were paper plates at 15,20,and 25 yards. ALL rounds must stay inside. I used a timer, mostly to get use to the 'beep'. I got myself out of the "beep goes off..now how fast can I shoot thinking".
People (myself included)want to go to fast and end up getting time added for c,d, and misses.

    Yea right.

A Glock with any connector in the hands of the right person doesn't have to worry about any of that. You are not talking the Limited Nationals in IPSC here. Get real.

The extras help the shooters that help themselves and that have the ABILITY to accomplish what others can't do no matter what they do or use. It's that simple.

    Thanks all
I put the 3.5 connector in today, I am going to try it out tomorrow.
I dry fired the G19 and G30, the G19 having the 3.5 and the G30 having the original connector, I have to say the original connector feels like the heavier break that it is. The 3.5 connector is a nicer break, smoother not so sudden , it doesn't feel mushy at all.

I try it live tomorrow, I'll let you know what happens.
