Anybody know where I can get a Slug Plug? Not the Jentra style that is flat, but the scherer style. I would like something that will keep the meat of my hand from hitting the mag. Thanks.

I like mine. It seems like the way the gun should have been made. It looks real natural.

I did a search and found one in the gear section. I contacted the seller and he had one left, I've paid and have it on-route (I hope):) Have you found that this helps in the reloads? The meat of my hand is always hanging on the mag and won't let it drop.

My understanding is the Scherer #4 is the one for the 36. Sorry, but the seller said this one was the last he had. I can see if he would check around. But if you do a websearch for the #4 slug plug you should find something. IIRC the Jentra is the flat plug.

riddleofsteel, ordered it from the topglock link you posted.
thanks for the info. when it gets here (10 days?) or so, i'll post some more stuff on how if at all it helps my shooting. im sure it will help in reloading, i have the same problem tnronin has of my palm heel getting in the way of the mag well because of the glock semi finished grip.

    thanks again.

    Hey RiddleOfSteel,
What kind of holster is that? Looks nice. LH, leather, belt holster? Is it comfortable? Does it hold your G36 high and tight? Pretty sharp lookin'!

    Kramer horsehide belt scabbard
    Safariland mag pouch
Worn on Mirage gun belt along with key clip.

In over 2 1/2 decades of CCW this is the most comfortable rig I have ever put together. Gun rides medium high and butt close to my side.
the mag pouch drops the mag low enough below the belt so it does not dig into my over hang. I put all this on when I dress in the morning and it does not come off until I shower or go to bed.

When I owned a G36 I installed a Scherer Slug Plug but found it would constantly "back out" due to recoil. As the G36 has no lanyard hole there is no retention other than friction fit. It came down to either super gluing the plug into the pistol (yeah, right) or taking it off. I sold the gun and problem solved.

I'll watch the backin out issues. I suspect I can get around that by either roughing up the plug plastic, or possibly gluing some emery paper to the plug. I'll figure something out.

Got the plug today. I inserted the plug and ya I could see where backing out would be an issue. I'm looking at it thinking to myself. How do I get outward pressure on this thing? Then I remember that I have several accuwedges and with my ubiquitis glock punch I inserted the back of the chair then the seat with the seat section right at the tension location. Now I can't physically remove it with my hands. I'll see how this works.

Frankly, I'm so impressed with this as it it, I would not hesitate to glue it in place. I know, I know, but man it helps with the reloads. No more meat hitting the mag. It makes for a more comfortable grip as well.
