I bought a G17 Gen4 last month. Here in Nj we can only buy 1 gun a month. Ok here's my problem. I wanted a G19 OD green. I was going to use my GSSF to buy it from Ed's but they are out of G19 OD'S. My next choice is a either a RTF G22 with Fish Gills or a G22 Gen4. Either G22 will be my first .40 I only have 9MM at this point. Which do you guys think is better the RTF Fish Gills or Gen4? Thanks Alex

Do you have a shotgun yet? Maybe a rifle or two?

If you carry often and you really like the 9mm, try out a G19 or G26.

I don't know what your actual needs are so it's hard to say.

My G22 RTF2 with shark gills is my EDC, so I'm a bit partial when it comes to answering your question. You've already taken the plunge into Gen4 so I'd stick with Gen 4-- you'll build better compatibility for parts between your pistols.

Here in NJ only the bad guys can carry. Honest hard working people can't. If I get a G22 would be for home, some range, and a safe Queen. I own an AR-15, SP1 I bought new in 1982. That two is a safe queen with only about 1500 rounds shot.

Get a 45acp, that 40S&W cartridge is just a passing fad.
