hi folks. is there a reason replacement receivers for my glock 22 are so hard to find? i swore i saw them on glockmeister a good while back, but now i cant find any there... top glock.... anywhere. i just wanted to see if it was even worth considering getting a new style one, just to have the rails.

The frame is considered to be the pistol, so purchase of a frame would have to go through a FFL, background check, etc.. It is inviolation of Federal Law to alter the serial number on a frame.

I didn't know that GM used to sell OEM Glock frames.

CCF makes an alloy replacement frame but they aren't cheap. As DannyR mentioned, this part is "the gun" and is serialized and must be transferred through a FFL.
