When shooting glock plates you have up to 11 shots. Are you penalized for missing a plate or only if you leave a plate standing after firing your 11 shots?

Here are some rules I pulled off of sportshooter.com.
    ____________________________________________-

All hits on steel targets will count for Zero additional seconds when successfully struck.

All Misses (often referred to as "Mikes"), both on Paper and Steel targets, will be assessed a penalty of +10 Seconds added to your score.

You are penalized 10 points for each plate left standing after you have fired 11 rounds. The rack is reset after each string. Time stops after the last shot is fired in each string. You fire a total of 4 strings. Scoring is time plus penalties.

Many matches have a practice plate run area where you may shoot for $1.00 per string.
