Hey I would like to purchase a new pistol case for my glock 17. I've seen some pictures of people who had customized their foam w/ a hot wire and cut out the shape of their liking. I would like to do this as well, but most cases I've seen come with foam that is not customizable. My question is.. do I have to buy the foam separately? I'm thinking of getting a double pistol case with combo lock. Any suggestions?

Btw I have a foam cutter that heats up and works really well so the hot wire would not be necessary. Thanks.

Get a pelican case. Tons of sizes. Pick and pluck foam or use your cutter. Plus the case is as durable as it gets.

Pelican seems like a good choice. I'll be on the look out for free foam. Thanks.

    I'm needing a case for a G21.

    Been looking at MidWayUSA's:

Are you guys saying that the case does not come with the right kind of foam?

Is there something wrong with the foam that makes it hard to cut to fit the gun?

Pluck foam! Make mine hot wire. Ok that isn't as funny as I thought it was. Egg Crate foam and an excato knife isn't the best idea in case you though about that route.

I think someone in the want ad area is selling some pelican cases. I picked up two and use one for a pistol case and the other I store my ammo in. Works pretty good.

NRA guy I have that glock case already. Gets the job done, but not enough room for my mags and plus my baby nina wants to sit flush inside some foam. She gets what she wants.

Btw how does this "pick n foam" crap work? How big are the foam segments to puck? I dont want to pluck it out and have my gun sitting loose in the foam.
