Are Glock Factory installed night sights as good or better than AmeriGlo, Trijicon or other aftermarket night sights?

    It depends.

Some aftermarket sights are crimped on, some are held on with a tiny bolt.

GLOCK aftermarket night sights' inserts are made by Mepro. The housings themselves are made by GLOCK and have the "G" logo on them.

The front night sight is crimped on. Basically, if it comes off, it can not be re-used.

That said, if installed properly, it will not fall off.

I have a set on my G22 and my G27, both are my everyday duty LE duty weapons.

I have installed a few sets on other's guns as well, and have never heard of a problem.

If GLOCK puts them on, and they fall off, you are good anyway, they should fix it.

If not, worse case scenario, I'm out $25.

I like the GLOCK night sights.

    YMMV.

I've had the Glock night sight on a G17, and G30.

The ones on the G30, have been on for two years now. The G30 is my daily CCW.
They are just as bright and rugged as the trijicon's, I have on a P229 and a P220.

I have the Glock night sights on my G30. It gets the wear and tear of being in my holster, in my pocket and wear and tear from everyday use
