I'm new to Glocks and I'm just noticing that the top of the notch in the magazine is getting a little chewed up by the magazine catch. Just want to make sure this is normal operation. Thanks

You know I had the same problem. What I did was get an Aro-tek metal mag release and that solved the problem. I checked real close and found that the aro-tek fit the cut-out on the mag perfectly and did not hurt the mags at all. I even checked this on brand new mags and did not have the above mentioned problem that was happening with the factory release.
