    Hi,
I purchased a glock 357 magazine for my glock 23, the .40 cal. I was told they are the same and if i recall correctly they are. But loading the 357 mag i cannot seem to get that 10th .40 round in the mag! Only 9. I tried with the glock speed loader and it cracked the plastic speed loader! is there a problem with this mag or am i just retarded? :) thanks in advance.

The hicap .357/.40 mags are pretty interchangeable. I recently learned however that the 10 round restricted mags have different restricting ribs internally. You will only be able to get nine .40 rounds in this type of .357 magazine.

I thought the follower was different for the 40 and 357.

At various times, Glock has used the same follower in both calibers. They update and change folowers just about every other week though.

I have the .357 barrel for my 23 and the .40 mags work great for the .357 too. In fact I can get 16 .357 into the 15rd .40mags and 14 into the 13rd ones.

I inquired to Glock about this at one time, they said they see about 80% interchangability.
