I noticed on the ATF site that Glocks can be converted to machine guns and can fire 1200 rounds per second.

Man who ever wrote that must really be fast at magazine changes!

    No wait, he must just have a really big magazine. Let's see, 17 round mags are 5", 1200/17 = 70.59. 70.59 X 5" = 353". 353/12=29.42'.

A 29 foot magazine - that guy must be a really tall sucker!

First off rounds per minute isn't dependant on magazine sizes. This is a calculation based on the cylce rate of the gun.

Second, the correct term would be "SMG", submachine gun, because it does not fire rifle rounds.

I just think of a G26 with a 33 round mag you can empty in..

1200 rounds per second you said?

    So in... .02 seconds?

    Kewl.

It gives "spray and pray" a whole new meaning!

1200 rounds per minute, not second.:)

And a 29 foot magazine sounds pretty fun, I'll buy the mag and ammo if you load it.

Gotta agree with you, but ATF claims it is a machine gun. I'm not arguing with those guys!

Oh, ok. Kewl. So a 33 round mag could be emptied in 1.6 seconds.

Prrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. If you load up with Corbon's, you are $25 poorer in 1.5 seconds.

    I want one.

Glock 18 are well respected, add a shoulder stock and they are one of the most accurate sub guns around, or so says Gunny!

Buy a M11 9. You can actually buy one, plus use drums, and Lanchester 50rd mags. With the macjack, my m11 will do 2000RPM or so.

Having shot the G18C myself, they don't really need a stock, they are controllable as they are.

And yes... a 33rd mag +1 in the pipe, goes VERY fast.

Well, the glock is lighter than a m11 but what about the muzzle climb? It would seem that the glock would be harder to to control but it may not be that bad if it's compencated and has a stock. However, by the time you do those things you might as well get a normal SMG. Of coarse none of this matters because it's virtually imposable to own one.

Are you from the Houston area r2kba? Do you know of any ranges that allow class 3 guns? I've got a sbs coming and my next purchase will be a m11 with a bunch of extras or micro uzi, so I need a place to shoot.

The range I go to has an H&K MP5 you can shoot, $25 dollars for first mag and $10 for additional mags, I might do it next month after I get paid, just for fun :)

if pasadena isn't too far of a drive for you then check a place called pasadena gun center, or shooting center, i can never remember the exact name, but they rent full auto guns so i'm sure they'd have no problem with you bringing your own so long as it's legal and all that. they MIGHT require you to use their range ammo though, i know it's required for thier fa guns anyway.

I'm actually in Humble, so it's a bit far. I do have some friends that live there, I might check out that range when I visit them. I might just have to go to a few ranges and ask. Have any experience with Top Gun?

The glocks are quite controllable, with the trigger. You can keep the gun on target pretty easily with a few mags of practice. I think the M11 has more muzzle flip because of the reciprocating block of steel better known as the bolt whizzing back and forth.

I'm in the San Antonio area. The only one that I'm aware of is Bullet Hole range ( google it ) that lets you shoot MGs here.
