I purchased a Glock 34 in 2008. I have shot about 1,000 rounds through this gun with zero problems.

However, the last time I took it to the range the bolt would lock open instead of picking up the next round from the magazine. If I pulled the bolt back and released it, it would pick up the next round and go into battery. This "lock open" happens 3-6 times per 17 round magazine and is unrelated to how full the magazine is. I tried three different Glock magazines and the problem was the same with all three.

The gun is stock with no modifications.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks

Odds are you have changed your grip and are inadvertently hitting the extended slide stop with your off hand. You should know that it is impossible to lock back the slide any other way "unless" the magazine is empty. If you want to prove this theory to yourself remove the slide lock and shoot the gun without it or install the standard (smaller) slide lock.
