I was cleaning out some boxes in storage, found this really random Glock item, figured someone should see it before it's buried away for another decade... :)

As you Glock history pros know, in 2009, the Glock 22 RTF2 (Rough Textured Frame 2) (chambered in .40 S&W) was introduced at SHOT Show. But a couple years before that, in Europe, Glock did a survey shootout between a few different texture pattens to see which was going to be best received.

I was at an arms expo in either Germany or France (can't recall which I got this at). In Glock's booth at the trade show, they had a little display set up with a few different frame textures. You were supposed to handle them, and fill out this little survey card and drop it in a box. The RTF3 was much rougher, as in cut-your-hand skateboard-tape agressive. (Somewhere I have the larger brochure showing line drawings of the different RFT prototype variants, I have posted a photo of my copy of that tearsheet before somewhere on the web.) Edit to add: This one:

Anyway, thought y'all might get a kick out of seeing the market research piece, along with some Glock Party memorabilia and such.

I have two G23 RTF 2's along with other Gen 3's/4's and I prefer grip on the RTF2's although one is a safe queen as it's a "C". I don't prefer the RTF2 grip when carrying IWB and only a tee shirt to cover it - lol.....

I highly doubt any collector has the depth to their collection as sniper does.
‘I can appreciate his effort to get at least one of everything Glock has produced.
