Wouldn't it be nice if glock offered their guns in all of their past generation frames with updateted parts ? With no finger groves and no bulky rail on the frames like the gen 1 and gen2 were for people that don't want them! Kinda like sig did with their p228 or p229 that was made without rail system when they brought back their updated m11

Dremel made a sizable incentive payment to Glock to put the finger grooves on the pistols...

I would be buying a couple gen 2 pistols if they were available.

I wonder if glock knows how many gen 2 guns they could sell if they made a special run... call them glock classic series maybe

I still use my G17 Gen2 for IPSC shooting. I've had it about 25 years.

The finger grooves on the Gen3 guns fit my fingers perfectly, but I still use my Gen2 for matches where I'm shooting a Glock.

I was never impressed with the early Glocks. I do come across a Gen 2, now and then, so they can still be had. Usually in pretty decent shape too.

Or at least offer them without frame rails

Have any of you checked out the Timberwolf and Poly80 frames? Both still have frame rails. The Timberwolf has only very slight finger grooves. The Poly80 is an 80% frame that comes with no finger grooves at all and different grip textures.

Or at least a good aftermarket frame that has no frame rails ! Now it might sound crazy but the lines on a glock 43 frame would be nice in a 19 version !

Oh how I wish they would do it! I imagine they could sell a whole lot of guns if they did. Great for Glock but bad for Dremel. LOL

Zero interest here in anything before gen 3.

And I'm wondering if those updated parts would cause them to be less reliable.
If they offered the Gen 2 pistols again I would want them built to the original specs.

If only the fictional Glock M series was on the market. No finger grooves...

I have a Gen 2 17 that fits my hand as if it were made for me. When I shoot it I usually burn out the center of the target. I would really like to add a Gen 2 19 to the collection because I just added a Gen 4 19 recently.

I'd like a gen 2 RTF with rails, if they made such a devil.
