A friend of mine sent me these pictures. Real or not, judge for yourself. It appears to be a Glock 19 Gen 5 model, and not the M model as specified by the FBI.

Just thought I would be the first to share with you GT guys. Enjoy the pics and judge for yourself. 17634691_1138762692919450_8286777935910259616_n.jpg 17796236_1138762486252804_2241952617655754638_n.jpg 17796436_1139809816148071_8968562886443410713_n.jpg

Maybe they will announce the Gen 5 at the NRA show at the end of this month.

:headscratch: Lets hope the ambi slide stop is gone and the slide finish is tough. Pic is a bit suspect putting it lightly, the roll marks from Gen back are all blurry and distorted? At least the lower back strap's huge palm swell (hump) isn't there.

I'll believe it when the announcement is made.

Glock is doing away with that third pin, all the new ones will be just like the G43 pins and internals.. suppose to announce this new Glock at the NRA show ...?

Remember The Brady Bunch movie. Mr. Brady was an architect, but everything he designed looked like his house, no matter what the building was for.
Glocks all look the same. Some think they are ugly. I do not. But I wouldn't mind a little diversity. I like the no finger grooves. I'd like to see a model with a manual safety (gasp!). I think that alone would vastly increase sales. Factory sight upgrade would be nice. Such simple to do things. People are buying the guns, and doing these things themselves, so there is a market for them already.

Looks like Glock is going to only be making 9x17 and 9x19 now

I suspect as well.. Not to mention Glock JUST releasing a 3 pin Gen4 19 and 17 FS models. Doesn't make sense.

I hope they get rid of the finger grooves, but doubt this at this time.

Yep...evidently this model will have the AUSTRIA roll stamp changed to mumbleSTRmumble, possibly to reduce demand on scarce vowel resources in Central Europe.

It is astonishing that there will be some who will be taken in by this obvious hoax.

    OP...this thread is 18 days late. :)

    Hi everyone !
To me this legit. I came across similar pictures on AR15.COM, but the gun was labelled Glock 19M:

And frankly I don't see why someone would bother photoshopping a picture of a Gen 5...
Besides, on a other forum, a reliable source said a few months back that there would be no mag well and front strap cut on the Gen 5. Looks like he was right.

Every picture of something claimed to be Gen5 seems to be 9x19mm without locking block pin, the same as last year's G17M and G19M beta-release pistols. A new Generation 5 design would certainly be made for ALL calibers in Glock's line, not just 9x19mm. The M pistol design is weakened by forced elimination of the locking block pin. It seems very improbable that Glock would attempt to extend the compromised M design to other calibers. Restricted to 9x19mm pistols only, such an alleged new "generation" would not deserve the name.

Some people just have to believe every BS story that hits the web, I guess. :)

    I wouldn't mind a Gen4 29, or a 30SF but I won't hold my breath on these "new" models.

I did not mix the Gen 5 and the M. However I pointed out that I came across similar pictures on another forum. Chill out dude.
