I may be wrong but my initial response is to wonder if it's really Glock licensed? There are number of companies who modify Glocks to look like commemoratives - like the Navy Seal Glock or even the Trump Glock. I've not been able to find anything from Glock announcing a Flight 93 commemorative. I did find a YouTube video where a guy says he bought one via the Blue Label program using his GSSF membership. But I wouldn't expect a Blue Label commemorative, seems even more out of place.

Anyone know the backstory?

Someone got a hold of some Blue Label Gen 4 17s and lasered them... No such thing in Glock's Blue Label repertoire.

15th anniversary of 9/11. Notice that the police badge isn't the actual NYPD badge shape. They come with a challenge coin, too. Depending on who you believe, there was either 500 or 1000 made. If memory serves me correctly, wasn't this the commemorative gun done by Kiesler Police Supply?
