Will the Glock run without the extractor?? I've never seen it discussed or heard of anyone who had experience with it. I know my P7 was stated to be able to... just nice insurance to know about if so.

I know this was mentioned in a thread in the General section, but I thought I would post a thread on it here...any comments and info appreciated.

    Thanks

Thanks...it surprised me to read it, but I hesitate to disagree without having first hand knowledge...

...think Ill pop it out tomorrow just for kicks and see what happens.

Seems like if it did run w/o the extractor, more would be heard about it...I know HK sure mentions it as a small "plus"/selling point on the P7...

The extractor is the only weak point I've found on my G20. Chipped one somehow, & the pistol only ran about 75% of the time untill I replaced it. Massive amounts of failure to extract/eject, & the chip was only about .020 wide; just barely noticable.

    1. without an extractor, a fired casing would stay in the chamber.

    2. Just don't do it. You would be better off standing in the middle of the interstate to see how well your health and life insurance works.
