Anyone know the correct height
Stock sight on the gen4.
I like to upgrade the sights
I use the standard height .165 hackathorn on my 9mm Glocks, works for my eyes.

I downloaded the Warren sights
From what they say gen 1-3 used 0.215
Gen 4 17 uses .0.245 front height
I tried calling but no response.
The part number from Warren WTL-05
With Glock standard rear sight height, the fronts are 0.165" high... with other rear sights, the front height depends on the height of the rear sight. I could not find the height of Warren Tactical rears on their website, but they must be higher than Glock's rear.
I think trueglow may be my choice.
I just can't make up my mind on colors.
Red front sight
Green rear sight
Or all green front and back.
No need for TFX night sight.
TFO may be what I can use for outdoor IDPA
I have gone to Truglo Orange fronts on several of my Glocks with excellent results.
Prefer them with all black rear sight.
Really quick to pick up for my old eyes.
Visually I was very impressed with fiber optic sights. I wasn't impressed with their resistance to chemicals. I had installed a new set on a Glock. After returning from a range trip while cleaning a little bit of CLP got on the fiber optic tubes and destroyed the tubes which was disappointing.
Trijicons HD and never look back!
I thought I posted on this thread to mention that if you buy a front and rear sight as a set, the height of the stock sights doesn't matter. Apparently I didn't.
The height of the sights is relative to each other, not the gun model. You only need to know the front sight height if you are replacing it and keeping the plastic rear.
^ There's also some variation in terms of how guns print for different people, and how they prefer them to print/zero.
I also believe .165 is factory standard for 9mm. I do know, however, if you purchase a sight set from Dawson Precision, they will make it right if POI is not where you want. You shoot the weapon, and if it's off in elevation, measure the range distance and the miss distance, and they will calculate the correct height and send it to you. Their guarantee worked for me.
I have a G45 w/ OEM plastic fixed sights and all I want to do is change the front sight to a green fiber optic. Suggestions on which sight to buy and opinions on which is the best quality.Thanks.
Trijicon HD orange front on all my glocks.
