In December I went to the nearest LEO dealer and ordered a gen4 G26 for my wife. I get the military discount. $393.20 plus tax:wow: Today is our 22nd anniversary and I got a call this afternoon that it is in. Sweet! Cannot get there until Monday, unfortunately, as they are closed on Saturday. Oh well. My wife loves shooting all my glocks, always carries my G27. She was in a car wreck (not her fault) in July and broke her right wrist and it hurts her to shoot the G27 now. The G19 is OK for her, but she wants something smaller to carry. This one will be all her's, and she is going to maintain it and take care of it herself. I think I am more excited about it than she is! She likes the smaller backstrapless grip too, so that is a plus. Just thought I'd share.

Cool--back in August I bought my wife a G19 since she's finally catching on about the danger of home invasions, especially out here in the swamps. I hope your wife enjoys the new blaster.

Is the Gen4 thinner? I have an older model 26 (and 17) and my wife did not prefer the thickness of the double stack grip. She did get the single stack G36 and didn't have a problem with the larger caliber.

Bought my wife a gen.3 26 last year. She picked it out and really likes it,
but lately she has been shooting my 19 and making comments about
how much she likes it. I think a trade is in the near future.
26 is a great carry gun, and I don't care which one my wife carries as long
as she shoots it well and is comfortable and confident with it.
Best of luck on your wife's new gun.
    I ended up with a 17, a 19, and a 26. They're all in the family.
    Those Glock 9's are addictive.

Thanks everyone. She shoots my 27 very very well. She likes my 19 and 22 alot but they are "too big" for her to carry. I have another brand single stack 9 and she always takes it or my 27. This one will be hers only.

my wife loves her G26 Gen4! with that said, I think 9mm is actually a bit snappier compared to .40 G27, so you might want to try with her wrist and see how she does with it.
One way or another - GREAT pistol, problem free, very controllable and manageable. Congrats!
