Hi, new member first post. I just got a new G17 OD off of gunbroker.com. It's new unfired, but it has some finish problems on the slide. Have any of you had a problem with glock finishes, & how is the Smyrna factory to deal with. Do they have a quick turn around, & any problems with warrany stuff? Also can I ship just the slide with out shipping it expensive over night. I'll post a pic & see what you think.

Glock is a good company to deal with. Turn around time depends on what needs to be done and how busy they are. You will most likely end up paying shipping to them and they usually require the whole gun. Give them a call and see what they say.

With this computer monitor I can't really tell if the damaged area is a scuff of the finish or if it's the remainder of whatever was dragged across the slide. Have you tried taking some oil and FINE steel wool and gently rubbing it?
