I'm looking for an SP05686 factory front sight tool. Are these still available through Glock? There are 1 or 2 available via google, most people are sold out and the rest want an arm and a leg. Compared to the price of the take down tool anyway. Can any of the certified armorers out there order me one? What kind of price? Thanks!

Just bought AmerGlo night sights for my G20. It came with the tool. You can also buy it for about $5. I bet is exactly the same for all Glocks. Add GSSF in coupon code for 25% discount.

Ameriglo sights come with a tool, but it's not the same as the Glock tool.

Glock does sell it for less, but by the time you add double shipping costs (Glock to me, me to you), you might as well order it from Glockparts.....you'll get it quicker too.

I have a small cheapo one that came with some sights. I want the factory one. I plan on doing a lot of sights. I know other companies make nice frontsight nut drivers but I want the factory one.

I can vouch for the Glock Front Sight tool, it is a little small (same size as the Glock Armorer tool). Not only does it fit the nut perfectly, it also has a "post" inside the nut driver which does two things; it is magnetized so it holds the front sight nut and the post stops the nut from going too far into the nut driver. The magnet really helps because that nut is so small and not easy to handle - you put the nut head in the tool (holding it straight-up), add some to Loctite to the threads, and then turn the tool over and fit the threads into the sight.
As usual with Glock, some thought went into making it.

Since you are going to do a lot of front sights, you might want to check out Aro-Tec as their front sight tool has a normal screwdriver handle - however, I don't know if it's magnetized or if there is something in the nut driver that prevents the nut from going too deep into the nut driver.
