Glock DA/SA

I know that the actual function of the safties and firing pin mechanics define how the whole DA/SA thing work.. but I was wondering... Doesn't Glock's classic short trigger reset give glocks a "slight pseudo" DA/SA feel? I was just thinking about it... What say you Glock Bretheren?:dunno:

I can see your point only to the extent that the Glock has a relatively short reset, but the actual trigger pull on the Glock is the same, shot after shot. In the end, the only real common feature between the striker fired and DA/SA guns is that they are not single action guns like a 1911.

I agree with you! My first pistol is a 1911, and my G19 is my second. I am continually blown away by the trigger of my Glock, and it's totally stock, not even a 25 cent trigger job.

The reset is so short, it does almost feel like a SA trigger. I am very accurate with rapid fire from 5-8 yards. Love my G19!
The Glock is a DAO (Double Action Only) pistol. Action types (definitions), when used in this context, always refer to the tasks, or actions, the trigger mechanism performs. In the case of a Glock, the trigger mechanism performs two tasks and always and only two tasks. That is why it is classed as a DAO design.
Some have referred to striker fired/partial cock systems as "semi-double action."
