Hi Guys,

For those with cutaways please share as much of the SN as you're comfortable with and I'll post a list. This way we can see the generational and model number changes.

Please feel free to pm me with complete SNs. I'll just add the data w/no names of course. I promise anyone who does so that I will NEVER disclose that you have the particular gun.

If you reply to this thread I'll go back and edit the list so that it's easy to follow.

This is from another thread where I posted some info that I got from Stan:

"I spoke w/Stan. He was able to find the info on these which he got from Glock. Here's the deal:

There were two runs of Gen 1 17 Cutaways.

Run #1: JQ018-JQ027 imported 1/28/88. They went to Glock sales guys.

Run #2: JQ100 - JQ179 imported 5/4/89. You have the first gun of the second run.

Thus, as I had remembered correctly, there were 90 made.

Re the AT guns:

Stan says early Glock sales guy Peter Tarley made two (he thinks) himself to demo. This guns don't show as much as the factory ones. Gaston liked the idea. They led to the first Gen 1s. Glock has one of the ATs."

Some great info on post 81 here:

https://www.glocktalk.com/threads/glock-factory-cutaway-models.1680893/page-5

Based on this, I have to assume that Stan was only referring to/only had info on US imported ones.

AT002US - Gen 1 17. At Cody on loan from Glock. 1st CA. Manually cut by Mr. Glock and Mr. Hirschheiter.

Please see 58sniper's post about which gun's SNs end in US.

JQ100 - Gen 1 17. Glockhoarder collection. Taken around by the First VP of Glock, Mr. Karl Walter to various PDs to demo Glock pistols to LE. Some light scratches on the slide were made in the first armorers classes by Mr. Walter using a punch to demonstrate how tough that the tenifer finish was. The story and pics are here: https://www.glocktalk.com/threads/i...th-the-forum-g17-gen-1-cutaway-jq100.1749098/

Okay, just checked all of mine again. Those with three numbers after the JQ also end in 'US'. Those that have four numbers do not.
Great info! Thanks!!

There’s a gen 2 G19 cutaway at a local shop I’ve been trying to get the seller to sell me for years. Maybe one day I’ll be able to post it’s info as my own here haha

A local shop here had one as well. I kept working on them every time I was there. Even offered to give them a brand new Gen 4 G19 cutaway in a swap. They wouldn't go for it. Eventually, I found a Gen 2 elsewhere.

I've gotten a lot of data for less than 24 hours. Thanks guys!! Starting to be able to get a feel for generational cut offs, numbers per generation, etc.

I will add that I have a gen 3 19 SN JQ2950... So the 3s and 4s obviously overlap. Have a gen 4 on the way.

Not to go too far into the weeds, but the early Gen 2s have a model number stamped on the trigger guards.

I see the gun for JQ3193 is listed on here. Does someone on GT have that gun? Please put them in contact with me here or by PM (I mean, "Conversation")

Hi,

It is owned by a GT member. I'll send him a pm and let him know you'd like to get in touch.
