Glock owners- do you have the butt plug in or dont use it? I have found info for and against, pros and cons.

My last 17 and 23 I bought new and did have one in them. My current Gen3 17 I bought used and it came with a magwell if I wanted it. I dont shoot comp, just shoot for practice and CC,SD, and HD. So I didnt take the magwell. Has no butt plug. Should I go without or order one? My buddy goes without. Just curious as to what other Glock owners do about it. Thanx.

The butt plug is used for keeping the lint out of the firing mech. If you have an inside the waistband holster it is a good idea to use one.:wavey:

Don't use them, as I see no need and IMO they can be inhibiting.

After seeing a few trigger mechanisms seize up during torture tests from dirt that came in through this opening, I have them in my Glocks.

Looks good. Keeps the massive amount of deodorant flakes and dead skin out. No drawbacks at all.

I am pro butt plug, not for any reason really, other than looks. It could help keeping dirt or lint out of there, but I mainly I think it just looks a little better.

They are flush with the end, they don't get in the way, and they keep lint/dirt out of the end and inside the cavity. If you want to spend 7 bucks, go ahead.
I have them for my 19 & 26! No issues what so ever.
