Hey all, I plan on building a not a Glock using a mix of OEM and aftermarket parts. I am either going to use a polymer 80 compact or subcompact frame ( on the LWD website) or the new LWD frame whenever it comes out. So I could go either G19 sized, G26 sized or a G26 sized grip with a G19 sized slide / barrel (my not a Glock G19 SC). What would you do?
I want to use it for edc but also be able to have some fun with it at the range. If I can wait for it I'm thinking a 19 slide with a 26 sized grip. Lone wolf is releasing new timberwolf frames that have various slide lengths and grip lengths.
For me, I would not carry a home built unregistered pistol unless you plan on registering. Again just my opinion but for EDC I’d carry a stock Glock with only upgraded sights. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thank YOU. One vendor that I found, is calling one color "tactical gray" and then they offer "cobalt" as well as the black and "robin blue". I appreciate the info!
"Not a Glock" is a great plan b firearm, if you know what I mean. Not that I ever built one but a little bird told me that 80petcentglock.com has some great sales on complete kits for next to nothing right now. I heard that they go together great.
Before youtube went all fascist, there were videos of finishing 80% frames with hand tools. I got bored and tried it with a hand drill and file set like they did on the video. Results were aesthetically and functionally adequate. Be aware you can get a used Glock for less than what it will cost you to build one of these.
