    Hi guys,

I was wondering if there's anything special I need to do to my NIB G17 before taking it to the range. I was planning on cleaning and lubing it before. Also, does the barrel require any special break in? I know a few AR barrels require a special procedure... Thanks again for the help.

Officially, GI recommends you clean and re-lube the gun before taking it to the range. I look at it as a waste of time and shoot them the way they are. Clean it when it is dirty!

Barrel break ins are easy.... shoot it a lot..... clean it when it is dirty
