Greetings. An expert testified that the markings left on a 40 caliber bullet casing is similar to that of a Glock. I would like to know what that other gun is.

A third person (not the expert), reporting about what the expert testified, said, "It was a gun made for a very short period of time in the early '90's, I think it was Smith & Wesson made a gun that leaves similar markings to a Glock."

Sorry, that's all the info I have. What gun maker's barrel would leave "similar markings to a Glock" 40 caliber?

Thank you,
GeG

IIRC early S&W Sigma Series pistols had a firing pin and breech firing pin hole that was exactly like the Glock. They have since gone to a round firing pin.

The Sigma pistols were pretty much Glock ripoffs and if I'm not mistaken Glock won some litigation against S&W. This may have resulted in the change in the shape of the Sigma firing pin.
