    Glock 29 (for off duty/backup)

    Aimpoint T-1 w/Larue mount (for patrol/personal rifle)

or... obey the wife's wishes and not make any big purchases...?

If you buy her one of each also you are granted immunity from the "no large purchase" agreement.

The jewelry to gun stuff ratio is about 1.2 to 1 so if you spend $1200 for her on baubles then you're good up to about a grand.

Texas doesn't have community property so I would buy as much as I can... You should buy a Glock 20 and a Glock 29 so you can be register yourself as a nuclear power with the UN. Screw North Korea and Iran, they have to deal with GANGREL-LAND!

Then buy the Aimpoint M3 with LaRue mount for work. The PVN is also good since the M3 is NVG compatible, so throw that in there. Then get the EOTech with GG&G accu-cam for personal.

By that point, your wife will probably be gone. EVERYONE WINS!

This UN guy has already been following me around ever since I rented a 29 at the range... It's really annoying. He said the GSR that was left behind is enough for them to conduct surprise inspections of my person.

    Cold hands

    :(

And my personal rifle is my work rifle... I'm thinking an ACOG with the larue offset T-1 mount, a laser designator, a surefire hellfire spotlight and maybe a bayonet are in order.

I have always wanted a 10 mikemike Glock.

The rifle sounds like a good idea though, especially if you could use it for work.

And just having paid for Christmas, I can definately agree with the "save money" concept.

    Good luck!

I'd bet you've chosen wife over guns/gun stuff many many times. Switch sides for a day and buy the gun. I say new gun over new optic any ol' day of the week. You can go back to being a good husband the next day. And sleeping on the couch isn't so bad, it's sort of like camping.

Is this the appropiate time to suggest perhaps a Cop Talk sub-forum? Cop-Talk Wives!!!

Let them have a place to compare notes, make suggestions... Make suggestions on trade outs for guns, etc.

My God... I am truly sorry to hear that... Gangrel, maybe you and I should get out of both our states and go to Kentucky where it's Forced Share.

I hate community property. Ruins marriage, which is already a bad thing to begin with. That's like taking a **** sandwich and then putting water on it to make the bread soggy.

If your personal and work rifle are one and the same, then you should buy everything, including the Aimpoint, an EoTech and an ACOG and mount them all together along with the bayonet and whatnot.

    That guy has style.

I remember our civil law class in the academy, where community property was explained to us in detail.

It was the most depressing day ever.

Tomorrow is our anniversary. I'm gonna go get some flowers. I think that may buy me a little forgiveness for anything stupid that I do in the near future.

I vote on the new gun. As far as the wife goes, she'll get glad in the same shoes she got mad in. :embarassed:Flowers sure won't hurt though!!
