Got mine today at my local ma & pa shop I like to support. $379, but they give a free 30 day range pass when you buy from them (not good on transfers/shipped from other FFLS's). I'm good with that because a range fee is $16. So, if I go twice a week for a month, that's $128 saved. Do the math, I came out good. And even if I got one for $329 online, I'd be looking at shipping, plus a transfer fee, etc. And no range pass.
    So.......to me, I paid $251.

Got one today at another local store for $343.93 plus sales tax.

First thing I did when I got it home was take it apart. Tried a factory minus connector, but did not make the pull much better than the "dot" connector it came with... & made the break too mushy.

The mags are definitely all plastic, but very thick & rigid. The bottom is really hard to get off. To get the follower out, you have to remove the two push-down buttons (they snap together through the follower). The connecting link is kinda puny. I may have to flush these mags out to clean them instead of using disassembly.

Oh, yeah... both the guide rod and the outer tube are plastic, unlike other glocks which have a steel outer tube (or whatever you call the piece that the smaller spring slips inside).

When they get around $300.00 give or take $25.00 I'll think about it. Four bills OTD for a 10 shot .22 is a bit much no matter who makes it unless we're talking Target gun.

I rather buy a Smith & Wesson 15-22 than the Glock 44. I don't see a point in buying the Glock 44. But maybe that's just me.

I have an M&P 22 Compact I got for $249 on sale at PSA. This was before the 44 came out.
I think if they had the 44 then at $329 I'd have gotten it.
That said the M&P has been awesome - really pleased with it.

I’ve held pellet guns that feel more substantial/higher quality.

Finally handled one at a store in Az. They wanted $399 for it; too much dinero. And yes, they are very light in comparison to centerfire Glocks.

I have both. Had to send the first S&W back three times before they replaced it. New one works fine and is a fun shooter.

Both my 44's are fun guns, and work great too, and have had no problems.

The shop I deal with has "OTD" pricing, and I paid $395 each for the 44's. Which works out to about $360 with tax and tags when you figure it up.

Well, the 44 is the only model available that qualifies in the GSSF Rimfire division. I would guess that a lot of these sales are to be used for that purpose. I also plan to use mine to get my son started in competitive shooting in GSSF before moving him up to 9mm and .45ACP models if it's something he finds that he enjoys.

Another person who felt the need to trash a pistol he doesn’t own or hasn’t shot. Simple solution, don’t buy one.
