I dropped by my LGS and prepaid for one coming in on the 20th. I paid $359 plus tax in Alabama.

I plan on buying one, but not until they've been out some months and demand levels out (and the price drops a little bit more, but that's not the main reason I wait).

Anybody feel that buying a brand new model could bite you in the asterisk? Guns or cars.

Possibly but it’s a Glock, not a Sig.

It could. But I want to start practicing with it and competing in GSSF’s new rimfire division as soon as possible. I will not be carrying the G44 or using it as HD, so even if everything I’ve heard is a lie and it runs worse than any other Glock ever made, it’s not that big of a deal.

If the production guns have teething problems, Glock will make it right.

Remember when the Gen5's came out and the muzzle end of the slide was beveled but the dustcover below it wasn't? Glock quietly fixed it later. Some (my guess, people who bought them) have suggested these mismatches will be collectible someday. I kinda doubt it.

New gun's like anything first out is somewhat of a dice roll. I made it a point not to buy any new gun for a minimum of six months, then broke my own rule on the Taurus TX22 and the Springfield Hellcat. The TX22 did have a magazine problem that was fixed in ten day's. The Hellcat was everything they said so I count it as two wins. I was looking hard at the Colt Python but I didn't jump. I'm back to waiting six months that's true for the G44 also. I really think the G44 should be about $300.00 plus tax and bottle deposit. IMG_3704.JPG IMG_3702.JPG it.

I was able to shoot the new G44. They are fun to shoot and will sell well.

I guess it would be fun to shoot the cheap ammo, but I don't need to train with it. It would be more fun if I bought it, added a threaded barrel and high night sights.

This might get my attention - might sell off the AA upper and use that money to pay off the rest for the G44.

    Decisions, decisions

I picked mine up today. The price was $359.99. I haven’t shot it yet, but this thing is so feather light that it’ll make you think that it’s smaller than it really is. I think I’m gonna like it. EBC1B3E7-1946-45F5-9BA4-C0FB878C71F1.jpeg

Why anyone would want one is beyond me. Is it only a 10 rounder??

Hmmm.... would make a nice training pistol for someone who has never fired a handgun.

There might be a spot for this...
