Why has Glock not offered extended mags for the 43?.

    O ya, hi, new member.

Maybe because they make higher capacity models in the same caliber that fill the bill. Welcome!

Because it's already a bit large compared to pocket pistols.

    LC9s slightly smaller

I will always carry the G43 with a flush mag for size. But it would be nice to have Factory Glock +2 or +3 Mags for all my spares.

But why should 43 owners be penalized?. The 43 could use a high capacity backup mag more than some of the others. After all, it is only 6 shots.

I tried the Vickers +2 but it did not work well. It will feed 7 but not 8.

I was thinking for use as a back up mag, not carry mag.

I keep the 6+1 configuration for carry and keep a Pearce+1 (7) round in my pocket and another in my car. I've shot hundreds of rounds out of two Pearce+1 and have never had a problem. I'd highly recommend them for the G43. The gun has been flawless at 1,200 or so rounds. I do tend to use the joint of my finger when I shoot this gun.....It's a better fit for me. I'd suggest this if you have any problems with your trigger "fit" on this gun.

I'm using a Magguts +1 for my EDC, gives me a total of 8 rounds in the same form factor as the OEM 6-round magazine. I also have two Pierce +1's, and a Vickers +2 for the range. All have performed flawlessly.

    I agree.
I love the 43. I carry it every day.
For years I carried a 26 and thought it was the perfect packin' pistol. Especially with the OEM 12 round mag.
Then the 43 came out. I played with one. Seemed the perfect size (for me).
    Perfect weight (for me).
Seemed to be the perfect packin' pistol (for me).
    Then I shot it.
    I hate the 43.
But I still carry it every single day.

Probably for the same reason S&W doesn't offer 7 or 8 shot J frame .38's - it's not really what they were designed for. I feel your pain, but I also own a G26 which I an carry if the G43 just isn't enough gun. I'm a boring guy, and the G43 is fine 99.9% of the time for me.

I would love for Glock to make a +2 mag for the 43. I just can't bring myself to trust aftermarket extensions. Its sweet baby Gaston for me, or nothing.

Because Glock does what Glock wants to do ,the hell with what the market is asking for.
Springfield and S&W make higher capacity mags for the XDS and Shield while also offering subcompact double stack pistols,so that reasoning is silly.

I just ordered the +2 from Hyve technologies. Heard a lot of good reviews from it. Will report back as soon as I fired all rounds.

I just ordered the plus 3 from Taran Tacticle with their spring for the magazine. I'll report about it when I get it.

Did you replace the stock spring?

Odd, maybe you're being cute with words and i lost you, but why would you carry a pistol that you "hate"?

What do you hate about it?

Yes, I used the Vickers spring that came with the new mag. Eight rounds seems to put too much pressure on the slide and stripper. Won`t pick up the round when 8 is loaded into the mag.
