Depends on how you define 'Most Shootable' If recoil only, bigger size with wider backstraps will likely have an advantage, but if the term starts to include other factors like accuracy, it could change the dynamic. I just call the 42 the easiest to recommend to a new person. I have a 911 that is more shootable to me, not a lot, but smaller too so there is that.

My wife bought two and ran them at a few classes. They don’t have the smooth fluid recoil impulse like the 42.

Neither of us liked them and they’ve since been sold.

I'm still a big fan of the G42, it shoots well and it's better than having nothing. I put some Hyve extensions on two mags, one a +1 and the other a +2, both work great. It's my only 380 but my next smallest gun is my G27 and I do pocket carry it too, but it doesn't pocket as well as the G42 does. Both wear a Streamlight TLR6.

Been carrying my G42 for more than a month now with Vedder's Pocket and IWB holsters. I recently replaced the stock sights with Ameriglo Agent Night Sights and I have a Smartcarry on order. I alternate 5 magz with Pearce and Magguts +1 and an SI +2 mag extensions.

Very comfortable either in AIWB, front pocket and sometimes in a fanny pack (w/ a MIC holster). Very accurate and easy to shoot. And yes, .380 ammo is expensive but I like my 42 anyway! And did I mention it really looks good?
