Did you have to pay S&H one way or did Glock take care of that
    There's a nice used G42 for sale locally & it's serial #ACWU662
I'll have to look harder next trip to the LGS..

You have to pay shipping to them. They will replace the parts and magazines for free and ship back at their expense.

Well, yes, if it is for sure an early model. You can call Glock with the serial number to see if it even needs the updated parts. However, I might still buy it at $320 and send it in because you know it will be fully updated and tested by Glock. You might try to use the shipping cost to update to negotiate a slightly lower price.

You can always ask your local FFL dealer to ship the gun to Glock on your behalf. Since they can send a handgun via Priority Mail, it will be so much cheaper than using a common carrier for an over night shipping on your dime. (Unless, of course, he charges a huge “handling fee” for that.)

Regarding updated magazines, I recently mailed two old versions of G42 magazines back to Glock with a letter politely requesting for updated replacements. They sent me two new G42 mags marked “03” right away via FedEx - for no charge. Can’t complain.

If you can cite a specific mechanical problem related to your pistol (IE, trigger out of spec, unwanted slide stop engagements), Glock will probably send you a mailer.
If not, talk to a local shop (hopefully, one where they have seen your face before), and ask them to ship it at their rate.

Due respect, Bill, but, between the ergos and the trigger from hell, the Pico is the most wretched pistol I've ever fired.
If you like it and can hit with it,go in peace, serve the Lord, but I'd swap it on a 42. Yesterday.

If you are a GSSF member you can take your older 42 to a GSSF match and an armorer will update your 42 while you wait at no charge.
