Shot my G41 today with the KKM 10mm conversation barrel.
100% reliability. Shot 100 rounds of Sellier & Bellot 180gr FMJ. (1165fps @ 544lbs) according to their website.
Only other upgrade done with the gun was install Glock Store’s Gen 4 Heavy Tungsten guide rod.
(plus of course a couple of G20 mags)
The guns recoil was actually soft shooting with this set up.
I should modify my extractor according to KKM. It’s a somewhat easy process involving grinding off a little metal. (see pic below) I just need a bench vice and a small file for metal.
I think this will keep the gun reliable. This is strictly a range gun for now. If I were to use this gun for self defense, I would simply return it to its original form.
I would use this set up though for the woods, after I fire about 1000 rounds of 10mm through it and make sure it stays 100% reliable.
Gun right now shoots high and to the left. I’m working on getting it dialed in so it shoots where I want it consistently at 13 yards. (front Glock night sight, Glock adjustable rear-
our range is set up for 13 & 25 yards)

More reliable than 100% reliable? Just picking. I bet it’s a nice rig.

Anyone who can legally carry, should.

As a G41 owner, I am very interested in a 10mm conversion barrel!!

I have been, too, but I wonder what prolonged use of 10mm hitting a breech face designed for .45 acp will do. I'd hope KKM would have tested this to be sure it doesn't damage customer's guns. My only use for one would be with this https://www.underwoodammo.com/colle...50-grain-xtreme-hunter?variant=18785698906169, but my hunting days have been limited and it's only for back up. I have to believe this https://www.underwoodammo.com/colle...-grain-xtreme-defender?variant=18785700315193 would also be effective, but wouldn't have the penetration of the 10mm. Still, the initial hits are what slows something charging you, so would you need 10mm for FL animals? My guess is no and judging by what the 120 gr 45 acp does to a gallon of water, it has to go 'ding' when it hits flesh.

I have the same set up, but I put in an extended mag release and sometimes my thumb bumps the release just a smidge and it drops the mag. Other than that, it shoots great without the mod to the extractor.

    That’s good to know.
Did you have any issues getting your sights dialed in?
I’m shooting 180gr Ammo, and the gun still shoots to the left about 3” at 13 yards. About 2” high as well. I’m working on the windage first, then focus on the elevation of the shots.
Once dialed in, see what I can do at 25 yards.

What spring weight did you choose with the TGR? That ammo produces a PF of 210 which isn't too much higher than plain ol .45 acp. The Magtech +P 45 acp ammo I have in my 41's PF'ed out at 213 (217, actually - I get an average of 1172 fps with them and a 41) and the BB I use to carry in the scrub was at 219. With the OEM RSA, you could tell you were shooting something.

I wish KKM would sell pre-modified extractors that would work with BOTH 45 ACP AND 10mm. If KKM made them they would be good quality. They could even sell the barrel and the extractor together as a complete conversion kit.

Right now the stock spring rate. I’m using the tungsten gen 4 recoil spring from the Glock Store.
Functions just fine. I will say that the 41 shooting 10mm with this set up is throwing brass at least 15’ to the right.
At least I’m not being beamed in the face with empty casings. ;)
Good info on the Power Factors!

    I agree 100% !!
KKM should sell their modified extractor with their conversion barrel. Even if it costs a little extra. Most people would buy this combo.

I used my KKM 9mm conversion barrel in my Glock 22 a couple months ago at the range, and it was flawless. And in fact I've never had a problem with it, or the extractor on my 3rd Gen G22. It's a great barrel.

Shortly after I acquired a model 41, I bought an aftermarket 22 lb. RSA in anticipation of a KKM 10mm conversion barrel. Have not yet bought the conversion barrel but did buy the KKM .45ACP barrel and it works great with the new RSA and mild target loads. (200 gr H&G 68 cast with 4.2 grains of Hodgdon Clays). I believe the local PD here carries Glock 41s. Looking forward to any ballistic data and experiences of 10mm conversion barrel owners have to share.

It's a quick and easy way of comparing the power of what you want to shoot to general target ammo designed for that gun. Store bought 45 acp +P seems to top out around 236 PF which is approaching 45 Super. I don't know that I'd want that much power in 10mm against a breech face designed for a 45 acp, not to mention the area of the slide by the ejection port that looks like it can't wait to crack from excessive power. 180 gr at 1250 fps is 226 PF and probably safe to shoot, on occasion, such as a hunting round. The 189/200 PF 10mm I wouldn't be afraid to shoot out of a 41, all day long, but that's just me. Ysuperhot10mmverseslightweightg41slideMMV

^^What’s the formula for getting a PF?
gr of the bullet vs velocity?
    Thx

    Ah...my bad. I should've just put in a post. Bullet weight x stated velocity then drop one's, ten's, and hundred's place. 230 gr x 850 fps = 195500 = 196 PF.
