I picked up my G40 today. The gun is quite heavy especially for a Glock. I will say that the trigger is the nicest out of the box Glock trigger I have ever felt. It was a true 4.5#. Of course I could not resist tinkering and have it to a comfortable 2.5#. The gun is quite the shooter as was expected. As I get more comfortable with it I plan on running it out to 25 yards to see what kind of accuracy I get. The gun locks up super tight and has a reassuring ka-thunk when cycling manually.

I was able to test two flavors of ammo today. Nuclear (Underwood) and Medium (HPR). The lighter loads netted the best accuracy today but this was towards the end of shooting and may be just got used to the gun by then. Anyway enjoy. If you got one on order it is worth the weight (LOL).

One note, fully loaded with 180GR the Glock weighs 44.6 ounces. My Sig Match Elite 10mm loaded weighs 49.1. Enjoy the pics. If there is anything else you want to know, just holler.

What did you do to get 2.5 lb trigger?

The Underwood is off a tic to the left. WUWT?

Lone Wolf Ultimate trigger stop, polished 3.5# connector. 4# striker spring, reduced weight firing pin block spring. No polishing on the trigger bar yet. I may do that in a day or two if I just can't stand it. It will probably cut another .25 - .50# off.

These are literally my first 10 - 20 shots with the gun. Probably just me acclimating. (Insert another excuse here.) For me this gun shoots just a hair to 6 o'clock. I'm splitting a 1" dot in two to hit center at 11 yards.

Did you measure the trigger pull with a trigger pull gauge, or are you just guessing on the pull weight?

I like it what you have considered. Much cheaper than going with a trigger kit. Have fun and stay safe.
