    Best Glock ever. Buy your ammo online and get a bunch. It never gets cheaper.

    I have found it just as easy to get GAP ammo as to ACP ammo, Online has great deals if you search around

    Everyone I've seen on here who has shot the 38 consider it their favorite.

    Not much ammo for it around here. When there is it is a couple bucks more than ACP.

    45 GAP is generally not available in my area. By contrast, I just picked up my daily 6 box limit of .45 ACP Federal FMJ 230 grain ammunition at my local Walmart for $15.97 a box.

    .45 gap is the best of the .45's.

    If I just could have one gun it would be a Model 38 Glock in .45gap.

    And a Raven holster to put it in.

    You will love it ffor real.

    I have a student who loves 1911's. He dropped one of his three.

    The safety feel out. :rofl::rofl:

    I told him that was reason enough to get Glocks.

    :rofl::rofl::rofl:

    What brand of 1911 failed when dropped? The US Calvary demanded of John Moses Browning that the 1911 pistol maintain its integrity when dropped from a horse.

    If it weren't for typical narrow-minded aversion to anything new and not revered by one's peers (i.e. inability to stand on, and by, one's own decisions), the GAP would be recognized for the GREAT personal defense cartridge that it is. And, obviously, the mid-frame Glock is the BEST platform to launch it from - just like the 9mm, the 40 S&W, and the 357 SiG.

    Seems the only caliber / platform combos Glock has botched so far are the 45 ACP and 10mm. Don't think so? What other ones have they gone back and re-done? And if many are honest, the 29, 30, & 36 STILL really don't fill the niche they're intended for as well as owners would like to think (claim) they do. The 29 & 30 are to fat to conceal well in clothes that would prevent you from hiding a full-size piece (face it, the part you gotta conceal still sticks out of the top of the holster; and what does barrel / slide length matter in a good IWB holster anyway?)

    The short barrel of the 30 or 36 in standard ACP has no advantage over GAP ballistics, and using +P ammo in short Glock ACP's really doesn't do much for you other than increase recoil and muzzle flip since the charge doesn't get a chance to burn enough before the bullet exits the muzzle to affect terminal performance.

    In the days of internet mail order ammo, can ammo selection / availability REALLY be a viable excuse for not switching calibers? BTW, during the post-Obanner election ammo run, my GAP was the only thing there was still ammo on the shelf locally for. :supergrin:

    The only 45GAP I have is the G39 and I love it. It's the most accurate Glock I've got. As for ammo availability, I don't have a problem finding it.

    Why are you getting new holsters for your G38? Won't the G19's holsters fit? I thought they were the same size???
